Child Safety in netball

Koo Wee Rup Netball Club stands by and adheres to Netball Victoria's Commitment to Child Safety

                                                                           Our Commitment
Koo Wee Rup Netball Club is a Child Safe Organisation. We commit to providing a safe environment for children in netball and we follow the principles and benchmarks Netball Victoria has in place.

Recent review of the standards, effective 1st of July 2022, have focused on creating consistency with the National Guiding Principles, safety for First Nations children and young people, involvement of families and community in organisational decisions, management of the risks of child abuse online and offering greater clarity on the governance, systems and processes to keep children and young people safe.

If you have any questions related to child safeguarding that cannot be answered by the resources provided, then please contact either of jen.camilleri@netballvic.com.au or liam.maguire@netballvic.com.au.

Netball Victoria’s Commitment to Child Safety
Every person in the netball community has a responsibility to understand their role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care.

Netball Victoria is committed to promoting and protecting the rights of children and preventing abuse from occurring by fostering a culture where children feel safe and empowered.

We also seek to ensure the cultural safety of First Nations children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and children with a disability.
