History

First formed in 1939 as the Koo Wee Rup Women's Basketball Club there were two teams, Koo Wee Rup White and Koo Wee Rup Black.

The club operated under this banner until 1970 when the Victorian Women's Basketball Association became the Victorian Netball Association.

Playing in the West Gippsland Netball Association, the early 1990's saw some very strong teams for the Demons with A grade dominating in Grand Final appearances, winning Premiership Flags in 1991, 1992 and 1993.  Other flags included B grade in 1990, C grade in 1993, D grade in 1993 and E grade in 1992.

Joining the Ellinbank & District League in 2000 Koo Wee Rup has enjoyed some success not only with premierships but polling well in the Best & Fairest, winning four League Goal Throwing awards and teams playing in Final series.

A grade were a dominant force winning premiership flags in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007 and then again in 2016 and B Grade winning Flags in 2000 and 2001.

In 2017 when the West Gippsland Football Netball League was reestablished, Koo Wee Rup rejoined the league and immediately resumed the club rivalries from years prior.  The under 15s winning the premiership in 2019 has definitely been a highlight since rejoining the West Gippsland League.
